Skill Streaming #1: Listening
This is a great skill to begin the year. Adults often tell children to listen, without explaining the specific behaviors or steps necessary to do so. Breaking down this skill into a series of steps helps students grasp the concept. Additionally, teaching students to "think aloud" when modeling good listening is a great way to show how the skill of listening is beneficial.
