Dear Parent/Guardian:
I am very excited to have your son/daughter as one of my students this year. I look forward to getting to know all of them in the upcoming months. I would like to start this process with a little help from you. Each student is special and unique in their own way. No one knows this better than you. This “assignment” gives me a chance to tell me what you think I should know about your student. Their likes and dislikes; fears, hopes and dreams; successes and failures; anything and everything which will help me to better know and understand your child.
This “assignment” is not graded and your son/daughter will not be penalized in any way if you do not send it in. I will not share your comments with anyone else, unless you give me permission to.
I would appreciate it if you could send this “assignment” in with your son/daughter by the end of September. If it is more convenient, please feel free to email your response to [email protected]. I understand that you are busy and if you need more time that is fine also.
You can also complete this assignment on-line at:
